Why Choose Our EPE lining?

EPE has poor heat resistance and limited mechanical strength; it is prone to softening, deformation or permanent compression under high temperatures or heavy loads. Furthermore, standard grades are flammable and have poor weather resistance, and are prone to ageing and chalking when used outdoors over the long term. In addition, its large volume after foaming results in higher storage and transport costs, and it is more expensive than traditional EPS foam; consequently, it offers poor value for money in low-end applications where environmental requirements are not particularly stringent.
EPE (expanded polyethylene) is widely used in cushioning and shock-absorbing packaging for electronic products, household appliances, furniture and e-commerce logistics, as well as in the construction sector for floor damp-proofing mats and wall insulation and soundproofing layers, automotive interiors and insulated cool boxes for cold-chain transport, as well as sports protective gear, children’s products, luggage, footwear materials and agricultural fruit protection, amongst many other applications. Thanks to its customisable density, lamination, anti-static and flame-retardant properties, it has become a versatile material that combines safety and protection with environmental sustainability and recyclability, whilst offering multifunctional adaptability. |

| Although EPE foam (pearl cotton) is widely used in the packaging sector, due to its inherent performance limitations, it is not suitable for the following industries and scenarios: high-temperature environments (it softens and deforms at temperatures exceeding 75°C); long-distance international transport (its toughness is prone to deterioration); high-impact protection (its load-bearing capacity is limited; EPP should be used as a substitute); markets with stringent environmental requirements (e.g. its use is already restricted in EU countries such as Germany); scenarios requiring high resilience (it has poor resilience); precision rigid support structures (it is prone to deformation and creasing); and environments involving long-term outdoor exposure (it is prone to ageing and degradation). Therefore, when selecting EPE material, a reasonable assessment must be made based on the actual operating environment and requirements. |
