Advantages: EPE foam features a closed-cell structure delivering excellent cushioning, water resistance, and thermal insulation. It is lightweight, non-toxic, fully recyclable, and resolves the brittleness and environmental issues of conventional foams.
Limitations: EPE exhibits poor heat resistance, mechanical strength, and weatherability, and is inherently flammable. Its bulky post-foaming volume raises logistics costs, and its higher price versus EPS limits cost-efficiency in non-regulated applications.
