Advantages: EPE foam’s closed-cell structure provides superior cushioning, water resistance, and thermal insulation. Lightweight, non-toxic, and fully recyclable, it overcomes the brittleness and environmental drawbacks of conventional foams.

Limitations: EPE has limited heat resistance, mechanical strength, and weatherability, and is inherently flammable. Its high post-foaming volume increases logistics costs, while its price premium over EPS reduces cost-effectiveness in applications without regulatory requirements
