EPP liners are widely used in automotive components, reusable packaging for precision electronics, cold-chain logistics, safety helmets, and child car seats. They offer an ideal solution for applications demanding resilient cushioning, thermal stability, lightweight performance, and environmental sustainability.

EPP offers exceptional shock absorption, shape-memory recovery, and high specific strength for lightweight durability. It remains stable from –40 °C to 130 °C, resists oils and chemicals, and absorbs negligible water. Additionally, EPP is 100% recyclable, non-toxic, and provides effective acoustic and thermal insulation, supporting sustainable manufacturing and carbon neutrality goals.

EPP’s primary limitations include high material and tooling costs, limiting its use in low-value disposable packaging. Its soft surface scratches easily and often needs a protective coating. The complex steam-molding process entails long lead times and high minimum order quantities. Additionally, EPP’s non-polar nature complicates bonding and printing, while greater dimensional shrinkage demands higher design and manufacturing precision than traditional foams.
