This low-adhesion feature translates to practical advantages in real-world applications, especially in scenarios where surface cleanliness is a key requirement. For example, in pipes used to transport fluids (such as water, chemicals, or food-grade liquids), polyethylene’s non-stick surface prevents the buildup of scale, sediment, or fluid residues—reducing the need for frequent deep cleaning and minimizing the risk of clogs. Similarly, in containers for storing food, pharmaceuticals, or industrial materials, the surface’s poor adhesion ensures that contents don’t stick to the inner walls, making emptying and cleaning the containers quick and thorough

The specific gravity of polyethylene is all less than 1. The specific gravity of high-pressure polyethylene is approximately 0.92g/cm³, and that of low-pressure polyethylene is only around 0.94g/cm³. It is a lightweight plastic that is convenient for handling, transportation and installation. At the same time, it has advantages in some application scenarios where weight is a requirement.
