Slovakia and the Czech Republic, situated in Central Europe, form a key hub for the European automotive manufacturing industry. Slovakia is home to five major multinational vehicle manufacturers—Volkswagen, Kia, Stellantis, Jaguar Land Rover and Volvo—and has developed a comprehensive industrial chain comprising over 350 suppliers, of which Tier 1 suppliers account for 28.5 per cent; their products are exported to neighbouring European car manufacturers and overseas markets. In 2025, Slovakia’s automotive output reached 1.07 million vehicles, representing a year-on-year increase of 8.1 per cent and accounting for 9.4 per cent of the EU’s total output, with per capita vehicle production ranking among the highest in the world. The automotive industry accounts for approximately 13 to 14 per cent of Slovakia’s GDP.
The Czech Republic is also a key pillar of the European automotive industry. The automotive sector accounts for approximately 9–10 per cent of the Czech Republic’s GDP, contributing over 20 per cent of industrial output and around 24 per cent of total exports. In 2025, the Czech Republic produced over 1.44 million passenger cars, ranking third in the European Union. Škoda Auto is headquartered in Mladá Boleslav, Hyundai operates a factory in Nosovice, and Toyota has a production base in Kolín; a large number of component suppliers have clustered around these vehicle manufacturers.
The approval of our pallet boxes at automotive plants in Slovakia and the Czech Republic is primarily attributable to our close alignment with international standards. Standards such as VDA 4500, established by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), define the dimensional specifications and performance requirements for small and medium-sized loading containers in the automotive sector and are widely adopted within the European automotive supply chain. Our pallet box products were designed from the outset in accordance with the VDA standards system, ensuring compatibility with the existing logistics equipment of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1 suppliers, and enabling them to be seamlessly integrated into our customers’ standardised transport and warehousing processes.
Meanwhile, the EU’s PPWR Regulation has come into force from 2026, requiring industrial and transport packaging—such as pallets and skids—used for exported goods to be subject to compliance management; the total content of the four heavy metals—lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium—in such packaging must not exceed 100 mg/kg. Our pallet boxes are manufactured using a food-grade virgin PP formulation. The raw materials are sourced from a single, controllable source, ensuring consistent performance across batches. Each batch is shipped with a full set of third-party environmental testing reports, such as ROHS and SGS, ensuring that exporting companies can directly reference these when preparing their packaging declarations of conformity, without the need for additional testing.
The key reason why pallet boxes have gained favour with automotive component factories in Slovakia and the Czech Republic is that they deliver substantial cost savings and efficiency gains for customers.
Space utilisation has been significantly improved. Our pallet boxes feature a high-folding-ratio design, with the folded volume of an empty box on its return journey amounting to just one-seventh to one-eighth of its unfolded size, resulting in a recovery ratio of up to 1:8. For logistics operators in countries such as Slovakia and the Czech Republic, where there is frequent back-and-forth traffic between vehicle manufacturers and component suppliers, this folding design significantly reduces reverse logistics costs. This advantage is particularly notable against the backdrop of continuously rising road haulage costs in Europe.
Modular design enhances operational flexibility. The palletised container comprises a pallet, side panels and a lid, assembled in a stackable configuration. The number of side panel layers can be flexibly adjusted according to the height of the goods; each additional layer of side panels increases the loading height by approximately 350 mm, accommodating various components within a height range of 50 to 1,500 mm. The modular design also allows for the independent replacement of individual components in the event of damage, with a 100 per cent interchangeability rate for components of the same specification, thereby significantly reducing maintenance costs.
Structural strength ensures the safe transport of precision components. The crates feature a high-strength honeycomb panel structure, with a central layer of PP plastic honeycomb core sandwiched between inner and outer layers of composite HDPE panels, offering excellent compressive strength and cushioning performance whilst remaining lightweight. The crates are characterised by their pressure resistance, impact resistance and moisture resistance. Combined with a customised hollow-core panel lining solution, they effectively absorb vibrations and impacts during transit, making them suitable for the long-distance transport and inter-factory transfer of precision components such as gearbox housings and clutch housings.
Long service life and low amortisation costs. Palletised crates can be reused hundreds of times, with a service life of over 300 uses; compared to single-use wooden crates and cardboard boxes, the amortisation cost per use is significantly reduced. The use of a nail-free assembly process eliminates the risk of workplace injuries caused by exposed nails in traditional wooden crates, whilst improving loading and unloading efficiency by 40 per cent.
Being recognised by automotive component manufacturers in Slovakia and the Czech Republic is not only an endorsement of our product quality, but also a mark of confidence in our overall service capabilities. Based on the dimensions, weight, protection rating and loading requirements of different automotive components, we provide a comprehensive service covering the entire process—from design and structural analysis to prototyping, testing and mass production. For each client’s specific component, our packaging engineering team analyses the product’s external dimensions, stacking configuration and stress points to customise an optimised inner lining solution, ensuring that every corrugated box precisely meets the client’s actual requirements.
As the automotive industries in Slovakia and the Czech Republic accelerate their transition to electrification, car manufacturers such as Volkswagen, Kia and Volvo are successively establishing production lines for fully electric vehicles in the region, leading to continued growth in demand for recyclable, standardised logistics packaging. Our pallet boxes are fully prepared to meet this demand; with our proven product quality and localised service capabilities, we will continue to provide efficient, sustainable and reliable packaging solutions for the Central European automotive supply chain.
The approval of our pallet boxes at automotive component factories in Slovakia and the Czech Republic marks a new beginning. We will continue to strengthen our presence in the Central European market, utilising technological innovation and high-quality service to help more automotive component manufacturers achieve a green upgrade in their logistics packaging.
